It is a branch of the larger House on the Rock church that has its headquarters at the Rock Cathedral Drive, Lekki-Epe expressway, Lekki, Lagos Nigeria. The church is one of the best places to worship in Asaba city, Delta State. Services are held on Sundays from 7 am and Wednesdays from 5 pm.

House on the Rock, Asaba is a church with a passion for the word of God and the mission of raising godly families. In the exact words of the church;

“We are a word, worship, and warfare company of believers, with a sole vision of enriching lives and raising godly families that will stand as icons of leadership in society and beyond.”

Those words the church uses to define itself are evident in its works. House on the Rock, Asaba dwells greatly on the word. It is a strong prayer church and it is a place dedicated to enriching the lives of people. It is also particularly concerned about helping people establish godly families. Singles are encouraged to get partners and get married while couples are supported with teaching and important things they need to have successful marriages and raise godly families. 

Every service, teaching, and program, organized by this church is aimed at achieving one or more of these goals. 

About Members Of House on the Rock, Asaba

Members of House on the Rock are mostly people who live in Asaba. A good number of members in the church also live in the towns and villages around the city like Azagba-Owgashi. Since the church is popular, it also occasionally receives the presence of travelers traveling through the city to other parts of Nigeria. 

The majority of people who worship at House on the Rock, Asaba are young. One could say the percentage of young people in the church is about 90% because the church is literally full of youths from the choir section to the media, protocol, and security section. This youth population pays off because services are always full of passion and strength. 

Everything about the church is amazing from the great music to the hilarious personality of the resident pastor and the overall friendliness of the church. 

Besides offering great music and the undiluted word of God, House on the Rock, Asaba also organizes lots of amazing events over the year that are targeted at further enriching the lives of the people.

Events At House On The Rock, Asaba

House on the Rock, Asaba is not a regular church that only organizes sunday services, and weekly service. It actually goes out of its ways to put together several enriching events throughout the year.

While some of these events are focused on family, others are focused on business, relationships, salvation, and several other aspects of human life. These events are not just normal events but are incredibly rich as they feature some of the most prominent men and women of God in the country and around the world. Bishops, pastors, counselors, parenting coaches, and many more professionals in the body of Christ have been invited to speak in events at House on the Rock, Asaba. These church even organizes gospel music events and invites some of the biggest gospel artists in Nigeria and the world to minister.

One of the most interesting annual events organized by the church is the Word Conference. This event is usually held in November and it features a long list of ministers who come from all over the country and the world to teach the word to the church.

During the 2022 Word Conference, Bishop CNC Onyeledo – one of the most seasoned ministers of the gospel was invited to teach for several days. His sermon was titled – the Biblical Theology of Marriage and it revealed secrets about biblical secrets about marriage that a lot of people do not know.

On Sunday May 28, 2023, Wendy Ologe, one of the most prominent parenting coaches in the world and founder of the International Parents Academy, was invited to enrich the lives of people in House on the Rock, Asaba. In the little time she was given, she released words that were eye-opening, inspiring, and indeed enriching.

About The Resident Pastor

Pastor Cosfinney Udoka is the resident pastor of House on the Rock, Asaba. He is the head of several international businesses and is also a United Nations peace ambassador as well as a Goodwill ambassador from Israel.

Pastor Cosfinney Udoka is a certified relationship/marriage counselor, and the author of teachings such as the Tendency series, and several books some of which include; Wisdom nuggets and 360 customer service. 

The man has a great personality that makes him easily likable. He makes listening to him such a great use of one’s time as one will be sure to laugh and learn a lot from his words. His hilarious personality is perhaps one of his greatest personality traits. This all makes him such a delight to pay attention to.

Pastor Cosfinney Udoka is married to pastor Adanne Udoka and they are blessed with three daughters. 

How Visitors Are Welcomed To House On The Rock, Asaba

Visitors to House on the Rock, Asaba are welcomed royally. This routine is done only on Sundays and it takes about 10 minutes. A pastor of the church first walks up to the altar. While walking to the altar, the instrumentalists get to work and begin playing a soft jazz beat. The pastor then asks politely for visitors to the church for the first time to kindly get up and then asks members to welcome them to church. Once visitors are on their feet, the volume of the soft jazz beat goes up, and a sweet voice starts to sing a jazz song that just feels so warm and groovy, it just makes you want to dance.

As the song plays, visitors will be welcome with handshakes and warm smiles from the members. When the song is over, the pastor gives a brief welcome speech that reveals the mission of the church and why the visitors need to become members if they live in Asaba or visit again if they are just passing through Asaba at that time. 

• Directions: House on the Rock, Asaba is on the expressway but the address can be confusing to those not familiar with Asaba. The easiest way to locate the church is by using the name of a business, company, or landmark that’s closest to the church. Tacjo fuel station is perhaps the best name to use to locate House on the Rock Asaba. The fuel station is right beside the church and only a fence separates them. All drivers in Asaba know this fuel station but visitors can make it more specific by saying “House on the Rock, beside Tacjo fuel station”. Once at this fuel station, visitors will no doubt have already seen the huge signboard of the church towering above them.
